Welcome to the Uni5Pay+ user page. Uni5Pay+ is a safe-and-easy-to-use mobile wallet. Whether you have a bank account or not, Uni5Pay+ is available for everyone. Built on the international standards of UnionPay, Uni5Pay+ complies with all the industry standards. On this page we would like to take you through all our features. Your questions about how to register, how to top-up, how to link your payment card or how to pay your electricity bills are all explained here. Download the app, create an account, top-up your wallet, and start making payments!

Registration

Creating an account is done through the Uni5Pay+ app. Follow the steps below:

  1. Download the Uni5Pay+ app through the Google Play Store or the App Store
  2. Open the app and click on the ‘register’ button
  3. Fill in your phone number, name, date of birth, email address (optional), and the captcha code
  4. Accept the Terms and Conditions and press next
  5. Enter a login password (Minimum of 8 alphanumeric characters)
  6. Press on ‘send SMS’ to receive an OTP
  7. Fill in the OTP and press on ‘submit
  8. Your registration is successful, press on ‘next’
  9. Enter a payment password (6 numeric characters), this is used to authorize payments
  10. Press on ‘Submit’ and you are done!

How to level up

Uni5Pay+ works with a level system. Each level has its own top-up and spending limits. This is done to prevent misuse of our app. For level 2 we will need your government issued identification (ID card, passport, or driving license will do). To upgrade to level 3 we will need your proof of address. This can be a utility bill or bank statement that clearly states your address. Your application will be processed within one business day!

  1. Log into the Uni5Pay+ app
  2. Swipe from the left side to open the side menu
  3. Press ‘My Profile’
  4. Press on ‘Name Verification’
  5. Choose either level 2 or level 3:
    Level 2: Enter your first, last name, and date of birth as stated on your identification. Select your ID type and fill in your identification number (no spaces). Take a picture of the front and backside of your identification.
    Level 3: Follow the same steps as for level 2. Also enter your address and upload a picture of your proof of address (Utility bill, bank statement etc).
  6. Press submit and you are done!

Wallet Reload

Reloading of the wallet is possible through different channels. You can use either cash to top up your wallet or through a bank transfer. Read more about the different ways below!

1. Reload via bank transfer

Do you have a bank account with another bank? You can reload your Uni5Pay+ wallet via bank transfer to our bank accounts or directly to the Southern Commercial Bank. 

Open your internet banking application and follow the instructions below.

Mobile Top-Up

Buy your Telesur and Digicel top-up through the app.

Telesur:

  1. In the Uni5Pay+ app open the menu
  2. Press on ‘Mobile Top-up’
  3. Select Telesur
  4. Your phone number will be automatically filled in. This number is changeable if buying Top-up for another number
  5. Fill in the Top-up amount. Minimum is SRD 10 and the maximum is SRD 1000
  6. Press on ‘Submit’ and authorize the payment


Digicel:

  1. In the Uni5Pay+ app open the menu
  2. Press on ‘Mobile Top-up’
  3. Select ‘Digicel’
  4. Your phone number will be automatically filled in. This number is changeable if buying Top-up for another number
  5. Flexible: Fill in a flexible amount. The minimum is SRD 6, and the maximum is SRD 1000. Fixed: Select one of the predefined top-up amounts
  6. Press on ‘Submit’ and authorize the payment

How to pay

With Uni5Pay+ payments are possible through numerous of methods. This can be in-store, online, in-app, through another app, etc. This part will explain each payment method.

In-store payments

Different stores may offer different ways of paying. The most common method is through the static QR method. Larger stores like Tulip or Choi’s might have the QR code integrated in their teller system. All methods require you scanning the QR code with the Uni5Pay+ app.

Static QR:

  1. In the Uni5Pay+ app, press on ‘Scan QR’
  2. The phone’s camera will open. Point it to the QR code
  3. After successful reading of the QR code, the Uni5Pay+ app will show the merchant payment screen.
  4. Fill in the amount you are required to pay and press ‘next step’
  5. Select your payment method and press ‘Confirm’
  6. Fill in your 6-digit payment password or user Face ID or fingerprint to authorize the payment.
  7. Success! You have paid!

Merchant app/Teller Integration:

  1. In the Uni5Pay+ app, press on ‘Scan QR’
  2. The phone’s camera will open. Point it to the QR code
  3. After successful reading of the QR code, you will see a screen with the merchant information and the amount you are required to pay.
  4. Select the payment method and press ‘Confirm’
  5. Fill in your 6-digit payment password or user Face ID or fingerprint to authorize the payment.
  6. Success! You have paid!

Online Payments

  1. When making online payments, you will either be redirected to the Uni5Pay+ payment website or the QR code will be generated on the website itself
  2. In the Uni5Pay+ app, press on ‘Scan QR’
  3. The phone’s camera will open. Point it to the QR code
  4. After successful reading of the QR code, you will see a screen with the merchant information and the amount you are required to pay.
  5. Select the payment method and press ‘Confirm’
  6. Fill in your 6-digit payment password or user Face ID or fingerprint to authorize the payment.
  7. Success! You have paid!

P2P Transfer

Transfer funds instantly to anyone with a Uni5Pay+ wallet. You can transfer either SRD or USD for free!

  1. In the Uni5Pay+ app select either your wallet or your UnionPay card where you want to transfer from.
  2. Select the option transfer (bottom row). Transfer can also be selected from the Uni5Pay+ menu.
  3. Fill in the recipient phone number, the currency (USD or SRD), and the transfer amount. You can also add a note for the recipient.
  4. Press on ‘Next Step’ to authorize the transfer and you are finished.

Utility Payments

You can pay your utility bills with the Uni5Pay+ app. It is currently possible to pay your EBS and Telesur bills.

EBS

  1. In the Uni5Pay+ app open the menu
  2. Press on ‘Utility Payment’
  3. Select ‘EBS’
  4. Adding an account: It is possible to use your old and new account numbers to register an account
    Old Account: Enter your old customer and connection number. Give a nickname to the account and accept the Terms and Conditions. The account information is automatically converted to the new account information.
    New Account: Enter your new customer number and account number. Give a nickname to the account and accept the Terms and Conditions.
  5. Paying an invoice: You will be able to pay the complete balance or part of it using a partial payment. Do note that if you are behind with paying, a partial payment may lead to a disconnection. For the breakdown of your balance log into Mijn Account at nvebs.com
    Balance: Select balance to pay the total outstanding amount
    Input Amount: If you want to pay a part of the outstanding amount
  6. After selecting your option, press on ‘pay’, authorize the payment and you are done.

 

Telesur

  1. In the Uni5Pay+ app open the menu
  2. Press on ‘Utility Payment’
  3. Select ‘Telesur’
  4. Adding an account: Fill in your customer number (debiteuren nummer) and give a nickname to the connection.
  5. Paying an invoice: Select the invoice you would like to pay by pressing on the ‘Pay’ button. Select your payment method and press on ‘confirm’. Authorize the payment and you have paid.

 

SWM

  1. In the Uni5Pay+ app open the menu
  2. Press on ‘Utility Payment’
  3. Select ‘SWM’
  4. Adding an account: Fill in your customer number (klant nummer) and you reverence number. Then give a nickname to the connection.
  5. Paying an invoice: Select the invoice you would like to pay by pressing on the ‘Pay’ button. Select your payment method and press on ‘confirm’. Authorize the payment and you have paid.

UnionPay Cards

Using the Uni5Pay+ app you can order your own UnionPay card. The UnionPay dual currency card can be used to make local, international, and online payments. Reload SRD and USD on the card (SRD only for local use) and pay on your favorite websites like Amazon, eBay, Bath and Body Works and more. The card is accepted in more than 170 countries and the acceptance network keeps growing. Link the card to the Uni5Pay+ app and monitor all your transactions.

The three cards SCom offers:

  • UnionPay Prepaid Classic Card Limit SRD USD 5000
  • UnionPay Prepaid Gold Card Limit SRD USD 10.000
  • UnionPay Prepaid Business Card Limit SRD USD 50.000 (depending on your business needs) (only available at the Southern Commercial Bank NV)

How to order:

  1. Log into the Uni5Pay+ app and enter the menu
  2. Press on ‘Add Payment Card’
  3. You will get the option of a Gold Card or a Classic Card.
  4. Press on ‘Apply now’
  5. All fields will automatically populate if level 2 and above
  6. Agree to the Terms and Conditions and press ‘Submit’
  7. You will be contacted to pay the USD 10 fee. This can be done through bank transfer or with cash.
  8. After payment of the fee, it will take approximately 2 weeks to arrive
  9. You will be contacted when the card has arrived

How to link the card to your Uni5Pay+ app:

  1. Log into the Uni5Pay+ app and enter the menu
  2. Press on ‘card activation’
  3. Enter the card number, the expiration date, and the CVN2 code and press ‘Submit’
  4. Fill in the OTP you have received
  5. Your UnionPay card is now linked to the Uni5Pay+ app

Settings

  1. In the Uni5Pay+ app, open the menu
  2. Press on ‘My Profile’
  3. Payment Settings:
    Default Payment Method: Change the default payment method from your wallet to other linked UnionPay cards
    Touch Pay/Face ID: Enable Touch Pay or Face ID instead of a payment password when paying.
  4. Password Settings: Reset your login and payment password. You will be required to fill in the OTP when changing a password.
  5. Fingerprint login: Enable this option to login with your fingerprint or Face ID instead of your password and captcha code.
  6. Language Settings: Change your default app language. You have a choice of English, Dutch, and Chinese.
  7. Feedback: You can provide feedback through this option
  8. About: Find the app version you are currently running and the contact information of Uni5Pay+.

Red Packet

Send a red packet (hóngbāo) to your loved ones. Popular during the holidays and special occasions, send a gift your friends and family. When opened they will see a nice animation and a message from you.

  1. In the Uni5Pay+ app, open the menu and press ‘Red Packet’
  2. Enter the phone number of the recipient
  3. Select either USD or SRD and enter the amount
  4. Write a nice message to the recipient
  5. Press ‘Next Step’ and authorize the payment.
  6. The red packet is now sent!
